Episode 7: What We've Learned So Far - Part 2

In this latest episode of The Shift, I’m excited to share a special reflection on the incredible insights we've gathered from our recent guests. As an organizational psychologist and passionate explorer of cultural intelligence, I’ve been inspired by the diverse perspectives our guests have brought to the table.

In this episode, I took a moment to practice what our guests have suggested throughout their interviews. It’s been a fascinating journey, drawing threads from the wisdom shared by David Livermore in Episode 4, Mariette Rups-Donnelley in Episode 5, and Cath Brew in Episode 6.

David Livermore's CQ Strategy: Where Shifts Happen David’s insights on CQ Strategy helped us understand the importance of strategic thinking in cultural intelligence. His episode was a deep dive into how mental shifts can enhance our cultural awareness and interactions.

Mariette Rups-Donnelley’s Actor’s Perspective Mariette brought a fresh perspective on how actors make shifts to step into different characters. Her experience in maintaining authenticity while adapting to different roles resonated with the theme of personal and professional adaptability.

Cath Brew’s Exploration of Body Awareness Cath’s approach to using bodily awareness as a tool for emotional and cultural shifts was truly eye-opening. She emphasized how paying attention to our physical sensations can help us understand and manage our emotional state, enhancing our cultural intelligence.

Despite the varied approaches, a common thread emerged: increasing our Cultural Intelligence (CQ) Strategy involves embracing different methods and perspectives. From David’s strategic insights to Mariette’s authenticity in shifting roles and Cath’s body awareness techniques, there are valuable lessons to be learned.

I’ve been reflecting on these themes and how they interconnect, and I’m eager to hear your thoughts. Have you noticed any recurring themes across these episodes? How have these insights impacted your understanding of cultural intelligence?

Feel free to reach out on LinkedIn to continue this conversation. I’d love to hear from you and explore how these ideas resonate with your own experiences.

Thank you for joining me on this exploration of cultural intelligence. I look forward to continuing this journey with you!

Warmly,

Trisha
